Experience Fort Kniepass barrier-free
Experience Fort Kniepass barrier-free
Here you will find all the information you need for your barrier-free visit
Fort Kniepass towers high above the Saalachtal valley - once a prince-archbishop's border post with a history dating back to the 14th century. Today, many centuries later, Fort Kniepass is opening a new chapter in its eventful history as an excursion destination for the whole family: With an open-air arena, restaurant and store down by the road and an exciting KniePASS adventure trail linking the new, modern facility below with the historic fort above. And so we are endeavoring to make this new tourist attraction in the Salzburger Saalachtal accessible for people with special needs. Due to the historical construction, however, this is only possible to a limited extent. However, we now offer various aids so that part of the facility is barrier-free.
